Meet our WP6 Leader!
Name: Andrew King
Institution: Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA)
My role in Nautilos: I am lead of WP6 and co-lead of WP2 and WP4; I am helping with tasks related to developing biological and biogeochemical instruments and their eventual demonstrations on FerryBox ships of opportunity platforms and other related observing platforms.
Who am I: My formal training is as an oceanographer (Ph.D. in Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry), but I also have an educational background in biology and ecology. I am Research Manager (head of department) of NIVA’s Oceanography section and I’m interested in all things related to the oceans – on a professional and personal level!
