This event will focus on the importance of ocean observation in the context of a changing climate. The speakers will address key questions related to the accuracy and quality of ocean data, prioritization of research and monitoring, filling gaps in understanding, and international cooperation in promoting effective action on climate change. Additionally, there will be discussions about the need for ongoing support for ocean observation and scientific research, closing data and knowledge gaps, striking a balance between action and observation, and the potential implications of neglecting ocean observation efforts. The event aims to promote greater awareness of the importance of ocean observation and scientific research in addressing climate change and encourage collaboration between stakeholders to achieve these goals.
