Nautilos Summer School is a four-day course designed for early career scientists and marine technicians who are interested in the blue economy and open data sharing. The main goal of the course is to improve professional skills and competences related to marine litter. To achieve this, the course will include lectures, discussions, practical sampling and measurements, and interpretation of marine data, as well as a small scientific expedition on board a vessel and waterfront experiments for a hands-on experience. The course will feature a variety of sensors and measuring systems developed within the Nautilos project, not limited to marine litter.

The course is scheduled from September 4th to September 7th, 2023, with the first day taking place at the Norwegian Institute for water Research (NIVA) and the remaining days at the OceanLab facilities of the OsloMet University at the Oslo fjord. The new application deadline is May 31st, 2023, and successful applicants will be notified by June 20th, 2023. To apply, fill-in the form at https://bit.ly/3lb6ekb.

Although the course is free of charge, participants must cover their own travel expenses. For more information about the application process or to contact the organizers, please email communication@nautilos-h2020.eu.
